Role Description
The Cloud Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and optimizing cloud infrastructure and services across enterprise environments. The role focuses on cloud operations, automation, security, scalability, and cost optimization while ensuring high availability and compliance across public and hybrid cloud platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure and services (IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS) across AWS, Azure, and GCP in alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
Design, implement, and operate multi-account/subscription/project landing zones, enforcing organization-wide guardrails, policies, and compliance controls using native and third-party tooling.
Lead and automate account lifecycle management and org-wide policy changes using Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Terraform and GitHub-based pipelines).
Collaborate with security, compliance, and platform teams to ensure consistent governance and continuous improvement across all cloud environments.
Monitor cloud environments for availability, performance, security, and cost
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, ARM, Bicep, or CloudFormation
Configure and manage networking components (VPC/VNet, subnets, routing, gateways, security groups)
Manage identity, access, and security controls (IAM, RBAC, policies)
Support cloud migrations, modernization, and hybrid integrations
Work closely with DevOps teams to enable CI/CD pipelines and automation
Perform incident management, root cause analysis, and preventive improvements
Ensure compliance with security, governance, and enterprise standards
Prepare and maintain cloud architecture diagrams, SOPs, and runbooks
