Role Summary

This role provides expert level technical support for the most critical projects. Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and resolves hardware or software issues for new and existing technologies and tools.Plans & develop technical standards and documentation, enforces security best practices, supports disaster recovery and collaborates with teams to align cloud solutions with business needs.

Responsibilites

• Plans and implements new technologies and major releases for the most critical enterprise-wide IT cloud platform projects. Designs, implements, and deploys cloud computing systems to support and meet business needs. Identifies, recommends, and implements opportunities for improvement and performance issue solutions.Provides expert level technical support and ensures reliable operation of cloud production. Diagnoses and troubleshoots the most complex issues for cloud computing systems on multiple platforms. Maintains comprehensive technical knowledge of software and infrastructure platforms.Develops technical standards. Tests and evaluates IT vendor products. Reviews configuration parameters to optimize system performance and maximize operation uptime
• Elevates code into the development, test, and production environments on schedule. Provides follow up production support. Submits change control requests and documents.
• Learns and understands client area business functions and requirements. Determines the appropriate technical tool to address the client's business needs.
• Trains and mentors more junior staff on processes and technologies. Troubleshoots and resolves the most complex issues elevated from staff. Provides guidance and consultation as required. Updates, writes, and maintains documentation for the department.
• Administers system activities. Writes the technical portion of assigned deliverables. Performs systems analysis, including system requirements analysis and definition, and logical design.
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
• Ensure cloud infrastructure security and compliance, including disaster recovery and backup strategies.
• Monitor and manage hybrid cloud environments and use automation to optimize deployment and scaling.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable cloud solutions aligned with business needs.
• Maintain clear and updated documentation on cloud architecture and system configurations.
  
  

Qualifications And Skills

• Minimum 8 years of experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure management, or cloud operations.
• Bachelor's degree (B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science/IT) or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), including cloud networking, security policies, identity and access management, monitoring, logging, governance, and operational support.
• Experience supporting and maintaining cloud platforms and services in production environments, including incident management, troubleshooting, service reliability, and operational excellence.
• Strong understanding of OCI networking components such as VCNs, Load Balancers, DNS, FastConnect/VPN, Security Lists, NSGs, Routing, and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Experience with cloud governance, compliance, monitoring, logging, backup, disaster recovery, and security best practices across enterprise cloud environments.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools and automation practices, including GitHub, Bitbucket/Bamboo, Infrastructure as Code, and operational process automation.
• Experience collaborating with engineering and application teams to support cloud-hosted services, optimise platform performance, and maintain cloud infrastructure standards.
• Experience providing technical leadership, mentoring team members, and working within Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
