Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Cloud Engineer to join our team and take ownership of maintaining and improving our AWS infrastructure and internal systems. This role involves both maintenance and development tasks, including managing AWS instances, optimizing deployment processes, improving network communication, and expanding portal functionality. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AWS, Terraform, Ansible, Git, and operating systems, with a willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Set up and maintain new AWS instance types using Terraform and Ansible.
- Perform regular security updates and maintenance of AWS instances.
- Manage and ensure the reliability of cloud infrastructure and internal web portal.
- Conduct regression testing for cost optimization and performance improvements.
- Maintain version control and infrastructure as code (IaC) using Git.
- Enhance network communication infrastructure.
- Improve deployment processes, including structured certificate generation in Vault.
- Develop a single-login system for on-premises hardware nodes.
- Expand functionality and improve features within the internal portal.
- Investigate and resolve licensing issues, including setting up a direct link between the license server (Norway) and AWS (EU-West-1).
Requirements
- 3 to 6 years of relevant experience.
- Strong experience in infrastructure as code with Terraform.
- Proficiency in configuration management and automation using Ansible.
- Solid knowledge of Windows and Linux environments.
- Hands-on experience with AWS topology, VPCs, security groups, and instances.
- Experience managing repositories, version control, and infrastructure automation using Git.
- Familiarity with TypeScript, HTML, and CSS for web development.
- Basic proficiency in Python for writing simple automation scripts.
- Fundamental understanding of NginX for web server management.
- Basic knowledge of Docker and containerization concepts.
