Role Overview
We're seeking a Cloud & Kubernetes Engineer to help build and scale our cloud-native security platform. You'll work on core infrastructure powering runtime threat detection, Kubernetes security controls, and multi-cloud deployments at enterprise scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Kubernetes Security features in the product.
- Design and implement Kubernetes admission control policies and validation webhooks
- Build runtime security monitoring solutions across Kubernetes clusters
- Build automated compliance scanning and policy enforcement systems
- Develop Kubernetes security features including RBAC enforcement, network policies, and pod security standards
Multi-Cloud Infrastructure
- Architect and maintain cloud infrastructure across AWS, GCP, and Azure
- Implement cross-cloud identity federation and access management
- Build cost optimization and budget alerting systems for cloud resources
- Design scalable deployment strategies for security sensors at enterprise scale
Platform Engineering
- Develop Infrastructure as Code for repeatable, version-controlled deployments
- Build CI/CD pipelines for containerized workloads
- Implement service mesh architectures for microservices security
- Design observability and monitoring solutions for distributed systems
Security Integration
- Integrate runtime security data with vulnerability management pipelines
- Build API security monitoring capabilities for network traffic inspection
- Develop attack path analysis systems mapped to security frameworks
- Implement malware enforcement mechanisms with quarantine capabilities
Required Qualifications
Technical Skills
- 2+ years of hands-on Kubernetes experience (production environments)
- Strong expertise in at least two major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi, or similar)
- Experience with container orchestration, Docker, and containerization patterns
- Understanding of Linux systems, networking, and security fundamentals
- Programming experience in Go, Python, or similar languages
Cloud-Native Technologies
- Deep knowledge of Kubernetes architecture, networking (CNI), and storage (CSI)
- Experience with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd)
- Familiarity with eBPF concepts and observability tools
- Understanding of cloud security principles (CSPM, CWPP, CIEM)
DevOps & Automation
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins)
- Strong scripting and automation skills
- Experience with configuration management tools
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
Nice to Have
- Experience with eBPF development or eBPF-based security tools
- Background in cybersecurity or cloud security platforms
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, CIS Benchmarks)
- Experience with distributed data systems (Elasticsearch, MongoDB, PostgreSQL)
- Knowledge of AI/ML infrastructure deployment
- Contributions to open-source cloud-native projects
- Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD, CKS)
