Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer with expertise in Python, AWS, and ETL to join our team for a 6-month engagement. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-based data solutions while ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to build and optimize data pipelines and cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-based solutions on AWS.
• Build, optimize, and manage ETL pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and processing.
• Develop automation scripts and backend services using Python.
• Implement and maintain cloud infrastructure following AWS best practices.
• Optimize data workflows for performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver robust solutions.
• Monitor cloud environments and troubleshoot production issues.
• Ensure security, compliance, and governance standards are followed.
• Document technical designs, deployment procedures, and operational processes.

Required Skills

• 8–12 years of overall IT experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python development.
• Extensive experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, Glue, IAM, CloudWatch, RDS, or related services.
• Strong expertise in designing and implementing ETL processes and data pipelines.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Knowledge of cloud architecture, automation, and infrastructure best practices.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with data engineering and cloud-native architectures.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform or AWS CloudFormation) is an advantage.
• AWS Certification is preferred.
• Exposure to Agile development methodologies.
