About The Role
The Azure Cloud Engineer at Pellera Technologies is a vital member of our Cloud Services and Managed Services department. This role involves designing, deploying, supporting, and optimizing solutions within the Microsoft Azure platform to ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of our clients cloud environments. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams, including security, architecture, and application development, to deliver seamless cloud solutions aligned with business objectives. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a seasoned IT professional to leverage their expertise in Azure technologies while contributing to innovative projects in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The role is based in Puebla with options for remote work, providing flexibility and work-life balance.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background with a bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. A minimum of five years of overall IT experience, with at least three years dedicated to Microsoft Azure, is required. Relevant certifications such as AZ-104 (Azure Administrator Associate) are highly preferred, with additional certifications like AZ-500 (Azure Security Engineer) and AZ-305 (Azure Solutions Architect Expert) considered advantageous. Candidates should demonstrate excellent technical knowledge of Azure services, networking, security, and automation, along with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Experience working within a Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment and familiarity with multi-tenant architectures are highly desirable. The candidate must possess excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, and demonstrate a proactive approach to continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
The Azure Cloud Engineer will be responsible for a variety of technical and operational tasks, including but not limited to:
- Monitoring and managing service requests, incidents, and change management processes in accordance with established SLAs and operational procedures.
- Providing Level 2 and Level 3 technical support for Azure-based environments, ensuring prompt resolution of issues and maintaining high customer satisfaction levels.
- Participating actively in incident response, escalation procedures, and conducting root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
- Maintaining clear communication channels with internal teams and clients regarding service status, potential risks, and ongoing resolutions.
- Designing, deploying, and maintaining Azure infrastructure components, including IaaS and PaaS solutions, following best practices and security standards.
- Implementing identity, security, and governance solutions such as Azure AD, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Privileged Identity Management (PIM), and policy enforcement.
- Optimizing cloud environments for performance, cost efficiency, scalability, and reliability through continuous monitoring and adjustments.
- Developing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts using tools like ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform for automation and consistency.
- Supporting onboarding of new clients and environments into our managed services framework.
- Collaborating with architecture, security, and application teams to ensure integrated and secure solutions.
- Maintaining comprehensive technical documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and operational consistency.
- Evaluating new Azure features and recommending improvements to existing environments to enhance performance and security.
- Participating in on-call rotations and supporting after-hours activities as required.
