About the Role
HighRadius is looking for a skilled MSSQL Developer (5 - 8 Years) who thrives on building high-performance database solutions and possesses a flair for automation. In this role, you won't just be writing queries; you will be architecting scalable data structures and leveraging Python to automate repetitive database tasks, deployments, and data pipelines. As a core member of our engineering team, you will ensure our financial platforms remain robust, lightning-fast, and highly available for our global enterprise clients.
Responsibilities
- Database Engineering: Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL Server database objects, including stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
- Performance Optimization: Proactively identify bottlenecks and tune complex T-SQL queries using execution plans, indexing strategies, and DMVs.
- Automation & Scripting: Use Python to build automation frameworks for database monitoring, CI/CD pipelines, and large-scale data migrations.
- Data Modeling: Architect relational schemas that are optimized for both transactional integrity and analytical performance.
- Troubleshooting: Resolve production issues related to data integrity, deadlocks, and performance degradation in a high-concurrency environment.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Backend Developers and Product Managers to translate business requirements into efficient database designs.
Qualifications
- SQL Server Mastery: 5+ years of deep experience with SQL Server (2016/2019/2022) and advanced T-SQL programming.
- Python Proficiency: Hands-on experience using Python for automation (libraries like Pandas, SQLAlchemy, or PyODBC).
- Performance Tuning: Expert knowledge of indexing (Clustered vs. Non-Clustered, Columnstore), partitioning, and query optimization techniques.
- ETL/Integration: Experience with SSIS or custom Python-based ETL workflows.
- Version Control: Familiarity with Git and database versioning tools (e.g., Redgate, Liquibase, or Flyway).
- Soft Skills: A proactive problem-solver who can explain complex technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in a SaaS or FinTech product environment.
- Knowledge of cloud database services (AWS RDS or AWS Aurora).
- Understanding of NoSQL databases or NewSQL systems for hybrid data architectures.
