Qualifications
Qualifications and Experience Required
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
- Strong experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipeline implementation.
- Proficiency in scripting using PowerShell or Python.
- Experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Good understanding of version control systems like GitHub or GitLab.
- Experience in container orchestration using Kubernetes.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Architecture & Modernization (Azure)
- Build and manage services on Microsoft Azure, focusing on strong networking foundations (VNets,
- VPNs, ExpressRoute, Load Balancers, Application Gateway, Firewalls, DNS).
- Support modernization initiatives by deploying and managing App Services, Function Apps, API
- Management, and other PaaS services.
- Implement best practices for cost optimization, security, and scalability across Azure resources.
Containerization & Orchestration
- Deploy, manage, and optimize workloads on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Docker.
- Implement CI/CD-driven container lifecycle management, scaling, and monitoring.
- Troubleshoot containerized workloads and integrate observability tools (logging, metrics, tracing).
Automation & Scripting
- Develop scripts using PowerShell for automation of operational tasks and Azure resource management.
- Leverage Python (advantage) for automation frameworks, tooling, and integration with APIs/SDKs.
CI/CD & DevOps Practices
- Build, maintain, and optimize Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines for .NET, Python, Node.js, and containerized applications.
- Manage release workflows with approvals, gated deployments, and automated rollback strategies.
- Integrate pipelines with artifact repositories, security scans, infrastructure deployments, and testing frameworks.
Collaboration & Governance
- Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to define DevOps best practices and
- enforce governance policies.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing sessions.
- Maintain documentation of infrastructure, processes, and runbooks to ensure operational continuity.
Monitoring & Reliability
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions to ensure high availability and reliability of services
- Participate in incident management and root cause analysis to improve resilience and performance.
