About The Role
We are looking for a hands-on Cloud Engineer / AWS DevOps Engineer who can manage and optimize production-grade cloud infrastructure for high-traffic event-tech platforms. The role involves AWS infrastructure management, CI/CD automation, security hardening, monitoring, troubleshooting, scalability planning, and supporting live event workloads with high availability requirements.
This is not a ticket forwarding role. The engineer will directly work on production systems, deployments, scaling, performance optimization, and security improvements.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure across multiple environments (Production, Staging, DR)
- Handle deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization of live applications and APIs
- Configure and manage AWS services such as:
- EC2
- Load Balancer
- Auto Scaling
- RDS/Aurora
- DynamoDB
- S3
- CloudFront
- Route 53
- WAF
- IAM
- CloudWatch
- Lambda
- SNS/SQS
- ECS
- ECR
- AWS Security Services
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and/or Jenkins
- Work with Docker-based deployments and containerized applications
- Configure and troubleshoot Apache, Nginx, PHP-FPM, Node.js, and reverse proxy setups
- Perform infrastructure hardening, SSL/TLS setup, WAF tuning, and security best practices implementation
- Monitor production environments and troubleshoot issues related to:
- CPU/Memory spikes
- High traffic events
- Database bottlenecks
- 5xx errors
- Slow APIs
- Network issues
- Manage logging, alerting, and observability using CloudWatch and related tools
- Support load testing and performance tuning activities
- Work on backup, disaster recovery, and high availability strategies
- Coordinate with development teams for deployments and infrastructure requirements
- Handle DNS, domain, CDN, and networking-related tasks
- Support client-specific deployments, custom domains, and white-label environments
- Maintain infrastructure documentation and SOPs
Required Skills- 2–3 years of hands-on experience in AWS Cloud / DevOps
- Strong understanding of Linux systems administration
- Good knowledge of AWS core services and networking concepts
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with Docker
- Good understanding of:
- VPC
- Security Groups
- IAM
- Load Balancers
- Auto Scaling
- DNS
- SSL/TLS
- Experience with web servers like Apache and Nginx
- Basic scripting knowledge in Bash or Python
- Experience troubleshooting production issues
- Understanding of monitoring and logging concepts
- Familiarity with Git and deployment workflows
- Good communication and ownership mindset
Good to Have
- Terraform or Infrastructure as Code experience
- Kubernetes basics
- PostgreSQL/MySQL administration knowledge
- Experience with CDN/WAF configuration
- Load testing experience (JMeter, k6, etc.)
- Experience handling high-concurrency applications
- Understanding of security best practices and compliance standards
