Job Description

Loch Corporate Services Private Limited is an India-based support team for an Australian legal and migration services firm. Our Australian partners are lawyers and migration agents who assist clients with visa applications and related legal matters. Loch handles the behind-the-scenes work — case preparation, legal research, documentation, finance, and administrative support — so that the Australian team can focus on advising clients. All work is carried out under the supervision of our Australian counterparts, with the highest standards of confidentiality, compliance, and professionalism.

Position Overview

The Cloud Engineer Apprentice will support Loch's internal technology operations and assist the Australian team in migrating, maintaining, and optimising cloud-based systems and workflows. This is a hands-on apprenticeship role suited to a technology graduate or early-career professional who is keen to build a strong foundation in cloud computing, infrastructure, and digital operations. The successful candidate will work under close mentorship, gaining exposure to real-world cloud environments while contributing to meaningful projects that support both the India and Australian teams.

Australian Correspondence and Coordination

  • Liaising over email (and occasionally on calls) with the Australian technology team and relevant stakeholders.
  • Responding to technology-related queries in clear, professional written English.
  • Coordinating with internal teams in Gurugram to gather information or follow up on technical tasks.

Security and Compliance

  • Following all information security policies, data handling guidelines, and access control procedures.
  • Supporting routine security checks, software update schedules, and vulnerability management tasks.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of all organisational and client data at all times.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cloud Computing, or a related field (B.Tech / BCA / B.Sc IT or equivalent).
  • Freshers are welcome; 0 – 2 years of relevant experience in cloud, IT support, or systems administration is preferred.
  • Foundational knowledge of cloud computing concepts — virtualization, storage, networking, and identity — is advantageous.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud (including any free-tier or lab experience) is a strong advantage.
  • Basic scripting or programming knowledge (PowerShell, Python, or Bash) is desirable; willingness to learn is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Excel).
  • Strong spoken and written English, with the confidence to communicate directly with Australian stakeholders.
  • Holding or actively pursuing a cloud certification (e.g., AZ-900, AWS Cloud Practitioner, Google Cloud Digital Leader) will be viewed very favourably.

Key Attributes

  • Curiosity, initiative, and a genuine interest in cloud technology and digital infrastructure.
  • Attention to detail and a methodical approach to technical tasks and documentation.
  • Reliability, accountability, and a willingness to follow through on tasks until completion.
  • Ability to manage time effectively across multiple concurrent tasks and deadlines.
  • Professional and courteous communication style suited to international correspondence.
  • Discretion, integrity, and respect for data confidentiality and security protocols.
  • A strong learning mindset — open to feedback, mentorship, and progressively taking on greater responsibility.

Employee Benefits

  • Hands-on exposure to real cloud environments and enterprise tools used by an international firm.
  • Support toward obtaining an industry-recognised cloud certification (exam fee contribution subject to policy).
  • Four weeks of paid annual leave.
  • Performance review at the conclusion of the apprenticeship period, with potential for a permanent role subject to business needs.
