Cloud Devops Engineer

Position Overview

• Develop and operate a multi-cloud platform for Siemens cloud-based microservice products.
• Contribute to DevOps solutions supporting scalable, resilient, and highly available cloud environments.
• Work cross-functionally with teams in infrastructure, security, software engineering, and networks.
• Focus on infrastructure automation, CI/CD processes, and platform reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, resilient cloud capabilities (target availability: 99.99%).
• Manage and support multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, on-premise).
• Build and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD tools like Jenkins and GitLab-CI.
• Automate tasks related to infrastructure, configuration, and deployment using scripting languages.
• Operate and monitor production environments to meet SLAs and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with teams across networking, security, compute, and storage domains.
• Support and improve platform capabilities for source control, deployment, audit, and cost optimization.
• Provide Level-3 escalation support for high-severity events.
• Continuously optimize DevOps processes, infrastructure, and toolchains.

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Deep knowledge of Linux OS and open-source tooling.
• Advanced experience with AWS services (ECS, EKS, IAM, VPC) or equivalent Azure technologies.
• Strong automation skills using Jenkins, GitLab-CI, Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation.
• Programming skills in Python or Go, and scripting skills in Bash or PowerShell.
• Experience developing REST APIs and Kubernetes operators.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Hands-on experience with microservices architecture and GitOps practices.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and milestone tracking.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across diverse teams.
