Job Title: Cloud/DevOps Engineer

Experience: 2 to 5 Years

Location: Hyderabad

Employment Type: Full-Time / Permanent

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and skilled Cloud/DevOps Engineer to join our engineering and infrastructure team in Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in AWS cloud services, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), containerization, and monitoring/observability tools. You will play a key role in building reliable, scalable, and secure cloud environments while enabling fast and automated deployments.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Infrastructure Management (AWS)

  • Design, deploy, and maintain scalable and secure cloud infrastructure using AWS services including:
  • EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, CloudFormation
  • Configure networking components such as subnets, route tables, NAT gateways, load balancers, and security groups.
  • Implement backup, disaster recovery, and cost-optimization strategies.
  • Ensure high availability, performance tuning, and system resilience across cloud environments.

CI/CD Development & Automation

  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar.
  • Automate software build, test, and deployment processes for seamless releases.
  • Integrate automated testing, security scanning, and quality checks into CI/CD workflows.
  • Troubleshoot pipeline failures and optimize performance.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

  • Implement, manage, and version infrastructure using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
  • Develop reusable IaC modules to automate provisioning and configuration of cloud resources.
  • Enforce IaC best practices for governance, standardization, and compliance.

Containerization & Orchestration

  • Build, deploy, and manage applications using Docker containers.
  • Work with container registries, images, and environment configurations.
  • Support container-based deployment models and integration with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Exposure to Kubernetes or OpenShift is a plus (not mandatory).

Monitoring, Logging & Observability

  • Configure and maintain monitoring and logging solutions using:
  • Datadog, Splunk, CloudWatch, ELK stack, or equivalent tools
  • Set up dashboards, alerts, and proactive monitoring strategies.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for system issues and performance bottlenecks.

Security & Compliance

  • Implement cloud security best practices for IAM, access control, encryption, and policies.
  • Conduct regular audits and ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with security teams to manage vulnerability scanning and patching.

Collaboration & Support

  • Work closely with development, QA, and platform engineering teams to support deployment needs.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and handle production incidents.
  • Document architectural patterns, workflows, processes, and troubleshooting guides.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering.
  • Strong experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation).
  • Proficiency in defining cloud infrastructure using Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Hands-on experience with Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools.
  • Solid understanding of Docker containerization.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Datadog, Splunk, CloudWatch, or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux fundamentals, networking, and shell scripting.
  • Good understanding of source control systems (Git, Bitbucket, GitHub).

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of Kubernetes or OpenShift container orchestration.
  • Experience with serverless architectures and AWS Lambda workflows.
  • Exposure to Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting.
  • Understanding of security best practices (IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager).
  • Experience working in Agile environments.
