Cloud Data Engineer

• Will be responsible for the design, development, and administration of data management solutions that meet the business needs of the organization, ensuring that data processes, systems, and structures are reliable, scalable, and aligned to strategic goals.

• Will respond to operational support requirements, particularly addressing production tickets and managing business requests related to data access, reporting, and issue resolution.

• Requires overall 5+ years of experience, including at least 2–3 years specifically in Data Engineering with strong hands-on skills in ADF, Python, PySpark, SparkSQL, SQL, Databricks programming, and cloud-based data ingestion and data pipeline development.

• Must have the ability to work with structured and semi-structured data formats such as JSON and XML while ensuring efficient ingestion, transformation, and storage.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal and external personnel—including senior management, system architects, software developers, database administrators, design analysts, and data modeling experts—to understand project requirements, identify system capabilities, and plan timelines for development and implementation.

• Work closely with data engineers to design and develop comprehensive, automated ETL/ELT workflows that align with overall database architecture and support scalable enterprise data solutions.

• Document and organize findings related to data retrieval processes, workflow structures, and reference libraries to support consistent and maintainable data operations.

• Apply data engineering best practices to ensure high-quality, reusable, and efficient data solutions across multiple environments.

Good to Have

• Understanding of insurance domain terminology and processes is considered an advantage.

• Experience working in Agile delivery environments, preferably within Scaled Agile frameworks.

• Strong oral and written communication skills are essential for interacting with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
