Position Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior AWS Consultant to manage and optimize cloud infrastructure with a strong focus on AWS and working knowledge of Azure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in cloud operations, automation, and infrastructure management, along with the ability to support high-availability enterprise systems.

This role involves working on mission-critical cloud environments, supporting both SAP and non-SAP workloads, and ensuring high performance, scalability, and security.

Your Role Responsibilities and Duties:

AWS Cloud Operations Support:

• Manage, support, and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure including EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, and other core AWS services
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across both serverless and monolithic application architectures deployed on AWS
• Work extensively with AWS Cognito for user authentication, authorization, and identity management
• Handle deployment, maintenance, and support of virtual desktop solutions using AppStream and AWS Workspaces
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of cloud-based applications and services
• Automation & Scripting:
• Develop, enhance, and maintain automation scripts using Python, Bash, Helm, and Ansible for efficient cloud operations
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployments using Infrastructure as Code tools such as CloudFormation and Terraform
• Implement and manage configuration management solutions like Ansible and Chef to streamline operations
• Continuously identify opportunities to reduce manual efforts through automation and scripting

Monitoring & Incident Management:

• Set up, configure, and manage monitoring tools such as CloudWatch and CloudTrail to ensure system health and performance
• Act as L2/L3 escalation point for critical production incidents and ensure timely resolution
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures to avoid recurring issues
• Adhere to defined change management and incident management processes in a 24x7 support environment

Linux & Windows Administration:

• Administer and manage RHEL Linux servers including patch management, LVM, firewall configuration, and kernel tuning
• Support and maintain Windows Server environments running on AWS infrastructure
• Troubleshoot and resolve OS-level issues across both Linux and Windows platforms
• Ensure systems are optimized, secure, and aligned with operational best practices

Security:

• Implement and manage security policies using AWS services such as IAM, KMS, and other security tools
• Apply OS hardening techniques and ensure compliance with security standards and best practices
• Manage encryption, secrets, and secure communication protocols including SSL/TLS
• Monitor and mitigate security risks across cloud infrastructure

SAP Support:

• Provide support for SAP systems hosted on AWS including HANA and Oracle databases
• Assist in high availability (HA) setups and cluster management for SAP environments
• Ensure performance, reliability, and stability of SAP workloads on cloud

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
• 8+ years of experience in cloud operations / infrastructure
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services: (EC2, EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, SNS, SQS, SES, IAM, KMS, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, CloudFormation / Terraform)
• Strong Linux administration (RHEL) with high availability systems
• Experience with scripting (Python, Bash) and automation tools (Ansible, Helm)
• Networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DNS, Firewalls, NAT, Proxies
• Experience with Windows Server on AWS
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently in a 24x7 support model
