Role Description This is a remote internship role for a Cloud Consultant at Future of Nation. The Cloud Consultant intern will support the evaluation, design, and implementation of cloud-based solutions that enable scalable learning experiences and internal operations. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with cloud infrastructure setup, helping design solution architectures, supporting integrations between platforms and tools, and collaborating with development teams to ensure reliable and secure deployments. The role also involves contributing to documentation, troubleshooting cloud-related issues, and recommending improvements based on best practices. Interns will work closely with mentors and cross-functional teams to gain hands-on experience with modern cloud technologies while supporting the organization's educational mission.

Qualifications

• Cloud Consulting skills, including requirement gathering, stakeholder communication, and translating educational or business needs into technical solutions.
• Infrastructure knowledge related to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), networking basics, security best practices, and scalable deployment models.
• Software Development skills, such as familiarity with at least one programming language, version control (e.g., Git), and basic CI/CD concepts.
• Integration capabilities, including understanding of APIs, web services, and connecting cloud services or third-party tools into cohesive solutions.
• Solution Architecture fundamentals, with the ability to contribute to designing resilient, cost-effective, and maintainable cloud architectures.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a willingness to learn new cloud tools and frameworks.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a remote, cross-functional environment.
• Interest in education, social impact, and empowering students with modern technical skills is highly beneficial.
