Technical Lead – Cloud
CAMS is looking for a Technical Lead – Cloud (Azure) to manage a dedicated work-stream of small team of analysts within our multi-cloud ecosystem. Reporting to the Cloud Architect, you will be the hands-on lead responsible for the successful execution of Azure migration projects and the stability of enterprise financial applications. You will translate architectural designs into actionable engineering tasks, manage the delivery lifecycle, and ensure your team maintains the highest standards of security and operational excellence in our Azure tenant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze business and technical requirements and design cloud migration strategies that deliver measurable outcomes
- Drive detailed discovery and decompose high-level requirements into executable migration plans
- Create high-quality documentation including user stories, workflows, migration approaches, and architecture diagrams
- Assess application readiness for containerisation and Kubernetes-based deployments
- Migration Solution Design: Define and execute migration strategies including re-host, re-platform, refactor, and rebuild
- Design scalable, secure, and cost-optimised cloud architectures
- Define implementation approaches, timelines, and execution plans
- Identify suitable cloud-native and hybrid solutions for modernised environments
- Design containerisation strategies and Kubernetes-based architectures
- Implement and manage Kubernetes platforms (AKS, EKS, GKE)
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for cloud-native and Kubernetes workloads
Professional & Technical Skills:
- 10+ years of experience in IT, with strong focus on cloud architecture and migration programs
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Proven experience in large-scale cloud migration engagements (datacenter to cloud, application modernisation)
- Strong understanding of migration tools, frameworks, and methodologies
- Experience in DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration, deployment, scaling, and management of containerised applications
- Experience with managed Kubernetes services such as Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Amazon EKS, or Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
- Experience in client-facing consulting or architecture roles for enterprise customers
- Strong presentation and stakeholder management skills
Key Competencies:
- Deep expertise in cloud migration strategies and execution
- Experience in Cloud Cost Optimisation / FinOps frameworks
- Knowledge of platform implementation and migration methodologies
- Proven experience as a Technical Lead or similar leadership role
- Strong understanding of modern cloud computing trends and technologies
- Expertise in containerisation and Kubernetes-based architecture design and deployment
- Excellent communication skills to articulate complex migration strategies to stakeholders
