Role – Senior Specialist Cybersecurity – Azure Systems Administration

About the Role:

Our team is seeking an experienced technologist to join our Cybersecurity team. The Azure Systems Administrator will support and enhance our growing cloud infrastructure for existing security products and upcoming initiatives related to AI. This role will focus on Azure system administration, disaster recovery planning and execution, and identity & access management (IAM), working closely with our compliance and security teams. The candidate must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, be self-motivated, have strong communication and documentation skills, and a background in computer science, data science, or engineering with Cybersecurity familiarity.

Roles & Responsibilities:

The Individual in this role will

  • Administer and maintain Azure resources including Virtual Machines (VMs), storage, networking, backups, and monitoring.
  • Assist with the design, implementation, and testing of disaster recovery and business continuity solutions in Azure.
  • Manage and improve Azure Identity and Access Management (IAM), including users, groups, roles, policies, and Azure Active Directory (AAD/Entra ID).
  • Support compliance, security tooling, and DevOps automation as needed.
  • Provide expertise in Azure services such as Virtual Machines, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), App Services, Azure SQL, and Storage Accounts.
  • Ability to leverage Azure and M365 AI Services (e.g., AI Foundry, Copilot Studio, Power Automate) to enhance organizational processes.

Required Skills:

  • Over 8 years experience in Azure systems and related infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure services (VMs, Storage, Networking, Backups, Azure Monitor).
  • Proven experience administering Azure infrastructure (5-8 years).
  • Relevant Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate).
  • Expertise in Identity & Access Management (Azure Active Directory, Managed Identities, OAuth).
  • Familiarity with compliance and security best practices in Azure environments.
  • Ability to work with DevOps automation tools and processes.
  • The candidate must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, be self-motivated and work independently

  • Bachelor's / Master's degree in data science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics. Computer Science or Cyber Security or equivalent experience.

  • Should be flexible to provide weekend coverage as required

Good to have AI knowledge / experience:

1. Familiarity with applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) or Machine Learning (ML) techniques in cybersecurity contexts (e.g., anomaly detection, threat hunting, behavioral analytics, or risk scoring).

2. Experience leveraging AI-enabled tools (such as Copilot for Security, Darktrace, CrowdStrike Charlotte AI, or custom LLM integrations) to enhance detection, response, and automation workflows.

3. Understanding of LLM safety, prompt engineering, or AI governance frameworks (e.g., NIST AI RMF, EU AI Act readiness) is a plus.

4. Exposure to data science fundamentals relevant to security (pattern recognition, supervised vs. unsupervised learning, model validation).

5. Awareness of AI-driven risks (e.g., adversarial ML, data poisoning, model hallucination) and their mitigation within enterprise environments.

6. Interest in leveraging GenAI for security operations, such as summarizing alerts, drafting reports, or automating incident triage.
