Role Overview:

We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Game Developer (Java / libGDX) to work on a contractor basis. This role involves applying expertise to help train next-generation AI systems by developing, maintaining, and optimizing simple 2D game features using Java and libGDX frameworks. The work will have a significant impact on how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. In the AI development industry, domain knowledge is crucial, and no prior experience in AI is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and optimize simple 2D game features using Java and libGDX frameworks to collect high-quality training data for next-generation AI systems.

• Collaborate closely with AI specialists to design engaging game interactions and ensure optimal performance and reliability of game modules.

• Implement basic game mechanics, including sprite management, game loops, and input handling, to create immersive gaming experiences.

• Troubleshoot and debug code to ensure the optimal performance and reliability of game modules and contribute to the improvement of internal coding standards.

• Participate in code reviews and document technical processes and game development workflows clearly for cross-functional teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Java programming language, with experience in developing and optimizing game features using libGDX frameworks.

• Strong understanding of game development principles, including game mechanics, sprite management, and input handling.

• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and debug code to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work closely with AI specialists and contribute to the improvement of internal coding standards.

• Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control systems, such as Git.
