You will be responsible for designing and implementing secure, scalable, and resilient cloud infrastructure and application architectures. You will leverage your deep expertise in AWS, Azure, or GCP to solve complex technical challenges and enable our clients to achieve their business objectives through the power of the cloud.
Key Responsibilities
- Architectural Design: Design and present high-level and low-level cloud architecture diagrams and documentation for infrastructure, networking, security, and application deployments.
- Cloud Strategy & Advisory: Act as a trusted advisor on cloud strategy, including workload migration approaches (e.g., re-host, re-platform, re-factor), cloud-native development best practices, and cost optimization.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Lead the implementation of cloud environments using IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation, promoting automation and repeatability.
- Security & Compliance: Design and implement robust security controls, identity and access management (IAM) policies, and governance frameworks to meet enterprise security and compliance requirements.
- DevOps & Automation: Architect CI/CD pipelines and promote a culture of automation for application deployment and infrastructure management, enabling developer velocity.
- Technical Leadership: Act as the senior technical expert on cloud technologies for both the client and internal Codvo teams, providing mentorship and hands-on guidance.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 12+ years in IT/Software Engineering with at least 8+ years in a dedicated, hands-on Cloud Architect role.
- Deep Cloud Expertise: Expert-level knowledge and implementation experience with one or more major cloud platforms: AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Strong hands-on proficiency with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Bicep.
- Networking & Security: Solid understanding of cloud networking concepts (VPCs/VNets, subnets, routing, firewalls, load balancers) and security best practices (e.g., defense in depth, zero trust)
- Containerization & Orchestration: Deep proficiency with Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, GKE).
- AI/ML Acumen: Good understanding of modern infrastructure for AI applications, including Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), and agentic solutions. Experience designing infrastructure that incorporate AI/ML systems is crucial.
- Data Architecture & Engineering Infrastructure: Practical experience provisioning. and managing modern data infrastructure tools (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift, Apache Spark) and designing high-throughput storage and compute environments optimized for heavy data science model training and ETL workflows.
- Communication & Consulting: Strong ability to communicate technical designs and strategies effectively to both technical teams and business stakeholders in a consultative manner.
