We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Platform Engineer to join our Global Cloud Platform Engineering team. This role is focused on designing, developing, and automating cloud solutions to drive cloud adoption using AWS services, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and DevSecOps best practices. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with AWS, coding expertise in AWS CDK (Python/TypeScript) and terraform, and a deep understanding of CI/CD, SDLC, Agile methodologies, and cloud security principles. This role requires close collaboration with teams and stakeholders worldwide to define and implement cloud governance, best practices, and automation strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Design & Planning (25%)
- Contribute to the Cloud Architectural vision, roadmap, governance processes, and cloud guardrails.
- Conduct Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to validate designs and develop solutions that meet cloud adoption requirements.
- Participate in work planning, task/story/epic prioritization, ensuring alignment with cloud strategy.
- Prioritize security and compliance in all cloud solutions.
Build & Implementation (45%)
- Work on cross-functional cloud projects to develop cloud platform capabilities.
- Codify cloud solutions for Application Engineers as part of DevOps best practices.
- Ensure all solutions are implemented using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for reusable and repeatable implementations.
Operations & Support (5%)
- Provide operational support and manage multiple AWS accounts.
- Ensure cloud platform stability and compliance with defined standards.
Enhancements & Optimization (15%)
- Continuously improve Cloud Platform standards, guardrails, and best practices.
- Identify opportunities for optimization and automation to enhance cloud efficiency.
Technical Leadership (10%)
- Serve as an AWS technical expert, providing deep technical leadership to the team.
- Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions, documentation, and product demonstrations across global forums.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Cloud Engineering with a focus on AWS services and components.
- Strong experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using AWS CDK (Python/TypeScript) and terraform.
- Proficiency in DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, SDLC, and Agile methodologies.
- In-depth understanding of AWS governance, security, compliance, and automation best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to design and develop scalable cloud solutions.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with experience working in a global team environment.
