Job Summary

As a part of the Wealth Management Mortgage Operations group, you support the JPMorgan Private Banking Mortgage business, having its roots widely spread throughout the lifecycle of loan origination. With the group dealing with a niche clientele, the role demands a Customer First attitude whilst maintaining a fine balance with the bank's internal guidelines. US Mortgage happens to be one of the most regulated business in the industry and coupled with complex loan structures, it's pivotal to exercise highest level of effectiveness and efficiency. Moreover, this is an exceptionally diverse role that entails collaboration with Mortgage Solutions (Front Office), Legal, Risk, Credit, Compliance, Change Management & across operational groups to facilitate business that is dynamic and bespoke.

Job Responsibilities

  • Source applicable fees from title companies and vendors to ensure disclosure to the client within the regulatory timeframe.
  • Prepare closing documents in line with state, regulatory, and internal guidelines, with a clear understanding of execution requirements at the closing table.
  • Review and ensure all credit and non-credit conditions are met prior to closing/funding.
  • Collaborate directly with Mortgage Solutions, vendors, and internal/external partners to close and fund transactions.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the mortgage origination lifecycle, applicable regulations, and all relevant mortgage documents.
  • Deliver client service excellence consistently across interactions.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in reviewing loan details and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Resolve complex issues by identifying innovative solutions, determining documentation deficiencies, and communicating findings clearly.
  • Prioritize workflows to meet deadlines and service-level commitments.

Required qualifications, skills, and capabilities

  • Demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Understand mortgage documents and the mortgage origination lifecycle.
  • Apply knowledge of regulatory, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Handle exceptions and act as a subject matter expert challenge the status quo to improve outcomes.
  • Operate independently in a fast-paced, high-production environment while meeting volume, timing, and quality targets.
  • Manage time well demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities.
  • Commit strongly to customer service and teamwork to contribute to high-performing teams.
  • Use MS Office proficiently.
  • Work North America schedules (with potential shifts during Daylight Savings Time).
