Job Description

We are seeking a Clinical Informaticist to join our dynamic team at Oracle America, Inc. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our Oracle Health Prod Mgmt - Data Prediction department, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of medical annotations. Your clinical expertise and attention to detail will be instrumental in supporting our AI/ML and healthcare data projects, contributing to the development of innovative healthcare solutions.

Required Experience

  • Clinical experience or education in nursing, medicine and surgery, pharmacy, laboratory sciences, respiratory therapy, health information management, medical coding, or another healthcare-related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience in healthcare, clinical operations, medical coding, quality assurance, healthcare technology, or related healthcare environments.
  • Familiarity with clinical documentation and healthcare terminology.
  • Basic understanding of healthcare workflows and patient care processes.
  • Ability to accurately interpret clinical documentation and healthcare concepts
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new systems, processes, and technologies.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the US healthcare system

Preferred Experience

  • Exposure to data annotation, quality assurance, healthcare analytics, AI/ML, NLP, or healthcare technology projects.
  • Exposure to electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Experience reviewing healthcare records, quality measures, clinical documentation, or medical coding.
  • Familiarity with healthcare terminologies such as ICD, CPT, SNOMED CT, LOINC, or RxNorm.
  • Bachelor's degree in a healthcare, life sciences, health informatics, or related field preferred.
  • Perform medical annotations following established guidelines, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Review annotations for quality, identifying and addressing any discrepancies.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks on annotated clinical datasets, maintaining high standards.
  • Apply clinical knowledge to validate healthcare concepts and relationships in annotated data.
  • Assist in maintaining annotation documentation and keeping guidelines up-to-date.
  • Participate in calibration exercises and training to enhance annotation skills.
  • Support clinical review processes for AI/ML projects, reviewing outputs and documenting findings.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team, including annotators, clinical experts, and engineers.
  • Stay informed about healthcare terminology, clinical standards, and annotation best practices.
