Job Description

Title -- Clinical Director

Location: Bangalore, India (Hybrid Online & In-Person Services)

Organisation: Entertainment Technologists

Reporting to: Chief Medical Officer

Direct Reports: Consultant Psychiatrists, Clinical Psychologists, Specialists, Nurses, Clinical Operations Lead

Role Overview

We are establishing a specialist mental health and neurodevelopmental services platform delivering high-quality care across India through both digital and in-clinic services based in Bangalore.

We are seeking a senior, experienced Clinical Director to lead the clinical vision, governance, safety, and operational delivery of mental health services across the lifespan.

The Clinical Director will ensure the organisation becomes the benchmark for structured, ethical, evidence-based diagnosis and treatment in India combining strong clinical standards with culturally sensitive, accessible care.

Strategic Responsibilities1. Clinical Vision & Service Design
  • Define and implement the clinical strategy for services in India
  • Design scalable hybrid care pathways (teleconsultation + in-person assessment)
  • Develop structured diagnostic protocols aligned with DSM-5-TR / ICD-11 criteria
  • Establish clear pathways for children, adolescents, and adults
  • Build integrated care models for schools, families, and corporate clients
2. Mental Health Clinical Oversight
  • Lead clinical oversight of:
  • Assessments
  • Medication initiation and titration
  • Psychological interventions
  • Parent training and behavioural programmes
  • Ensure structured evaluation of co-occurring conditions:
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Learning Disorders
  • Substance use
  • Sleep disorders
  • Oversee safe prescribing practices under NDPS Act regulations
  • Develop monitoring systems for treatment adherence, side effects, and long-term outcomes
3. Regulatory Compliance & Governance (India-Focused)
  • Ensure compliance with:
  • National Medical Commission (NMC) regulations
  • State Medical Council requirements
  • Mental Healthcare Act 2017
  • Telemedicine Practice Guidelines (India, 2020)
  • NDPS Act for controlled medication management
  • CDSCO guidelines where applicable
  • Establish internal clinical governance committees
  • Lead risk management, safeguarding, and ethical oversight frameworks
  • Implement structured documentation and medical record standards
4. Telehealth & Digital Care Governance
  • Oversee safe telepsychiatry and telepsychology delivery
  • Ensure secure digital documentation and patient data protection
  • Define escalation protocols for high-risk patients
  • Ensure robust informed consent processes
5. Clinical Team Leadership & Workforce Development
  • Recruit and build a high-calibre multidisciplinary team
  • Establish supervision and peer-review structures
  • Develop training programmes for clinicians
  • Create competency frameworks for assessment and management
  • Promote a stigma-aware and inclusive clinical culture
6. Public Awareness & Ecosystem Development
  • Represent the organisation in academic, clinical, and policy forums
  • Build partnerships with:
  • Schools and educational boards
  • Corporate HR wellness programmes
  • Paediatricians and general physicians
  • Mental health NGOs
  • Contribute to awareness initiatives addressing mental health stigma in India
Essential Qualifications
  • MBBS with MD/DNB in Psychiatry (preferred)
  • Valid registration with NMC / State Medical Council
  • Minimum 1015 years clinical experience
  • Experience in diagnosing and managing mental health conditions
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong understanding of pharmacology and behavioural interventions
  • Experience delivering telemedicine services
Highly Desirable
  • Fellowship or advanced training in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
  • Experience in private mental health service scaling
  • Experience with urban outpatient mental health models
  • Experience in academic teaching or research
  • Familiarity with corporate mental health programmes
