Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills, RTC area - RMDV, TRM, X-ray CATIA V6, 3DExperience, Teamcenter Visualization Mock-up, DFMEA, Agile or Scrum and Microsoft Project, Power Point, Excel, Word etc.
Skills:
- Good understanding of system level as well as component level working.
- Experience in handling team of 2-3 associates.
- Knowledge of cooling system and component design requirement for Radiator, CAC, AC Pipes, Chiller, Mounts and brackets.
- Effective communication with the customer and suppliers.
- Knowledge of material selection for different components.
- Ability to create and review parametric models using CATIA V5/DMU.
- Working knowledge of PLM systems (Team Centre)
- Ability to benchmark and provide innovative approach for a problem.
- Ability to interact with cross functional teams like CAE/VI Lead teams, interpret CAE results and suggest corrective actions.
- Complete understanding of product development cycle for typical automotive vehicle program.
- Good understanding on GD&T and tolerance stack up analysis.
- Strong knowledge of documents DFM/DFA/DFMEA
- Good understanding of test & validation (DVP)
- Good understanding of manufacturing process - Plastic moulding methods, Casting & sheet metal
- Strong communication skills.
- Must have good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Should be able to independently interact with customer and suppliers.
- Awareness and experience in implementing project processes.
Job Description / Roles & Responsibilities:
- This position is responsible for establishing, planning and running the engineering climate system meetings to ensure appropriate cross functional representation and input from all relevant areas.
- Ensure progression of design quality maturity from initial concept through to final engineering sign-Off(FESO).
- Establishing and maintain the teamwork plan aligned to vehicle program.
- Define appropriate engineering targets to meet function, quality and attribute requirements for the Vehicle Program.
- Develop and maintain the design validation plan (DVP) including both in-house and supplier testing plan and ensure development signoff tests are completed on schedule.
- Develop System Design Specifications incorporating engineering standards, test proceduresand material specifications.
- Lead Failure Mode Avoidance activities including DFMEA, quality history reviews and DFA/DFM reviews.
- Ensuring all relevant documentation meets ISO & quality standards.
- Lead the resolution of design, attribute or packaging incompatibilities through the appropriatecross-functional meetings.
- Management of Supplier (s) to ensure system/component delivery to vehicle programme timing and attribute targets.
- Support Purchasing team in Sourcing and RFQ activities including the creation of ESOWs, PDSs and ESIs.
- Support vehicles launch and pre-production builds (both virtual and physical).
- Ensuring the effective application of APQP to manage system/component delivery.
- Ensure delivery of PSW, through planning from project start to sign off.
- Follow and deliver company goals and strategies.
- Ensure system, sub-system and components meets DVA, Optical and PerceivedQuality targets.
