This is a fully remote, flexible contract role designed for Masters and PhD-level scientists who want to put their deep domain knowledge to work in a high-impact, forward-looking field. No prior AI experience needed — just rigorous scientific expertise and a commitment to quality.

What You'll Do
- Develop, solve, and review advanced environmental science problems with real-world relevance and scientific rigor
- Apply your expertise in climate modeling, ecology, sustainability, or related areas to design complex, nuanced problem statements that challenge AI reasoning
- Evaluate AI-generated outputs for scientific accuracy, depth, and clarity — flagging errors and suggesting improvements grounded in domain expertise
- Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts to enhance model performance across environmental science topics
- Ensure all deliverables meet high standards of scientific integrity, precision, and clarity
Who You Are
- Hold a Master's or PhD in Environmental Science, Atmospheric Science, Ecology, Earth Systems, or a closely related field
- Deep expertise in one or more of the following: climate modeling, ecology, sustainability science, environmental data analysis, or related disciplines
- Proficient in Python or R for research, data analysis, or scientific computing
- Exceptional written communicator — you can explain complex concepts clearly and precisely
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently in an asynchronous environment
- Fluent in English
Nice to Have
- Experience with data annotation, data quality evaluation, or AI training workflows
- Background in scientific writing, peer review, or academic publishing
- Familiarity with environmental datasets, modeling frameworks, or simulation tools
- Experience communicating science to interdisciplinary audiences
