Business Development
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in water supply, sewerage, wastewater treatment, and related infrastructure sectors. Track upcoming tenders, government schemes, and project opportunities from central, state, and local authorities. Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets. Prepare business proposals, prequalification documents, expressions of interest (EOIs), and tender submissions. Coordinate with technical, estimation, and finance teams during bid preparation and submission. Relationship ManagementEstablish and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, municipal corporations, water utilities, consultants, and project stakeholders. Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle. Regularly meet key decision-makers and stakeholders to understand project requirements and business needs. Facilitate communication between clients and internal teams for timely issue resolution. Support project teams in obtaining approvals, clearances, and stakeholder coordination. Monitor project progress and maintain regular communication with clients. Assist in contract negotiations, variations, and project-related discussions. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and client expectations. Participate in industry events, conferences, seminars, and networking forums. Liaise with government departments such as Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), Urban Administration Departments, Jal Nigam, Water Boards, and Municipal.
Required QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline. MBA in Marketing, Business Development, or Project Management preferred.
Experience3-5 years of experience in business development, client relationship management, or project coordination within water supply, sewerage, wastewater treatment, or infrastructure sectors. Experience working with government departments, municipal bodies, and infrastructure projects. Proven track record in tendering, bidding, and securing infrastructure projects.
Required SkillsStrong knowledge of water supply systems, sewerage networks, STPs, WTPs, pumping stations, and urban infrastructure projects. Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management skills. Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities. Understanding of government procurement processes and tendering procedures. Ability to analyze project opportunities and develop business strategies. Proficiency in MS Office and project management software. Willingness to travel extensively for client meetings and project coordination.
