Role Description
- The Client Reference Data Services (cRDS) programme is delivering a broad and consistent, bank wide golden source of Party (Entity / Client) reference data that is externally verifiable and validated.
- This golden source is business and product agnostic and is to be used by and distributed to consuming systems (trading, reporting, credit, etc) across Deutsche Bank. Creating the golden source of Party reference data will help the bank to deliver increased compliance to regulatory requirements improved standardisation, consistency and quality of core entity data and increased efficiency throughout the bank of our reference data processes.
- We are part of the Operation Reference Data Services within Operations supporting FO and work very closely with KYC and Client Onboarding.
- Operational Reference Data Services (ORDS) function comprises of Client Data, Tax & Regulatory teams (including Instrument Reference Data). The group provides operational services across the Global Markets and Corporate Investment Banking (CIB) clients globally, which enable client business, regulatory and tax compliance, protect against client lifecycle risk and drive up data standards within the firm.
- The ORDS function is focused on driving compliance within operations. The primary focus of this Client data which has a significant impact on how we perform on-boarding and KYC of our customers, maintenance of client accounts and downstream operations.

Your key responsibilities
- Detailed understanding of the data challenges and the design/co-ordination of remediation plans
- Detailed understanding of the Client Reference Data process along with relevant KYC knowledge
- Manage delivery against agreed timelines and milestones with key stakeholders / Business
- Progress tracking and reporting through agreed KRI and KPIs
- Daily review and reporting of overall team performance in terms of quality and timeliness
- Improving quality and timeliness of output through training programmes
- Manage recording, tracking and reporting all known Risks and Issues
- Securing and qualifying data sources in collaboration with the Data Analytics team to support the remediation process
- Review and implementation of departmental and function specific Operating Procedures (KOP)
- Working with Business Analyst and technology resource to design systematic change
ORDS CRDS RTB Objectives
- Legal Entity Creation, Modification, and Clearing Data Quality Exceptions through independent external research, where possible.
- Remediate all known data issues and gaps to ensure all data is ready for use by various processes built around dbCAR
- Reduce time to market and increase accuracy for tax and regulatory compliance programs
- Identify root cause and work towards prioritising strategic improvements to mitigate issues overall
- Hand-holding the Legal Entity Master process end to end to ensure data quality satisfies consumer expectations and cRDS Standards and Policies
- Analysing the root cause of any DQ issues and work with the relevant team to resolve the DQ issues.
- Responsible for ensuring agreed standards and procedures are duly followed with an eye for delivering against the set timelines.
- Understanding client hierarchy and relationship structures and identification of gaps for proactive remediation on systematic basis
- Identification, review and remediation of duplicate relationship structures in order to improve reporting accuracy
- Work closely with SME's within the larger Client Data Services across locations to obtain required skillsets to have the right level of support required for the end to end Data Remediation
- Create and agree required KOPs and KPIs around key processes.
- Manage delivery against agreed timelines and milestones with key Stakeholders / Business
- Set the stage for measurement of KPI's and KRI's and other metrics
- Record, Track and Report on Risks and Issues
Your skills and experience
- 12+ years of experience in investment banking, especially in Client Onboarding / KYC / Client Reference Data function.
- Excellent leadership & people management skills to be able to work in virtual global teams and a matrix organization
- Open minded, able to share information, knowledge and expertise with peers & team members
- Experience in team management and being collaborative is essential
- Vendor management experience is an added advantage
- Experience in Client Reference Data (Legal Entity Creation, Modification, and Clearing Data Quality Exceptions through independent external research).
- Ideal candidate needs to be good at excel, macros and SQL
- Excellent and effective communication skills
- Proven ability to effectively assess and mitigate process risks and dependencies
- Basic knowledge and awareness of (related) business solutions in the marketplace
- Self-starter with high levels of commitment & motivation to work with data, fix issues and achieve success in a team environment
