Job Description
About the Role
Our client is a leading global financial institution. The Global Banking & Markets New Business Group (GM NBG) is part of the Client Experience organization within the Operations division. The team is responsible for managing client onboarding mandates and ensuring requests are effectively project managed and completed within the expected timeline.
The role involves working closely with clients and multiple internal stakeholders, including Sales, Credit, Client Onboarding, Trading Documentation, Compliance, Legal, and Operations, to deliver an efficient onboarding experience and ensure clients are ready to trade.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with Sales to prioritize and manage client onboarding requests.
- Drive the documentation and account-opening process from initiation through completion.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the onboarding process.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including Legal, Credit Risk Management, Counterparty Risk, Compliance, and Operations.
- Track onboarding progress and provide clear status updates to Sales and clients.
- Identify potential bottlenecks, follow up on outstanding requirements, and drive timely resolution.
- Act as an initial escalation point for clients and internal stakeholders regarding onboarding issues.
- Project manage multiple onboarding requests simultaneously while ensuring delivery within agreed timelines.
- Identify opportunities to improve onboarding processes, increase efficiency, and enhance the overall client experience.
- Prepare and maintain presentations, reports, trackers, and analysis using Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
- Leverage AI tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, or other productivity tools to improve research, documentation, data analysis, and workflow efficiency.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Banking, Economics, Operations, or a related discipline.
- At least 2 years of client-facing experience, preferably within financial services, banking, consulting, professional services, or a similar environment.
- Strong experience in client communication, stakeholder management, coordination, and project management.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow up effectively on documentation and outstanding requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Comfortable using AI productivity tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude, or similar tools.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Able to work effectively with multiple stakeholders across different functions and manage a fast-paced working environment.
- Positive attitude, proactive mindset, and strong sense of ownership.
