Job Title: Cross-Border M&A (Deal Execution & Client Engagement)

Location: Delhi NCR

About the Role

We are a boutique cross-border M&A and investment advisory firm operating at the intersection of Indian industry and Chinese capital. In partnership with a leading China-focused M&A consultancy, we advise on inbound investments, mergers, and strategic partnerships between Chinese companies entering India and well-matched Indian counterparts.

We are looking for a senior M&A professional to lead deal execution, client engagement, and cross-border coordination. This is a high-ownership role suited for someone who thrives in a lean, entrepreneurial environment and wants to actively build and scale a cross-border advisory practice.

Key Responsibilities1. Deal Execution & Coordination
  • Lead end-to-end execution of cross-border M&A transactions
  • Manage timelines, deliverables, documentation, and stakeholder communication across deal lifecycle
  • Ensure seamless coordination between Indian and Chinese counterparties
2. Client Engagement
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients on both sides
  • Build strong client relationships, drive deal momentum, and ensure timely delivery
3. Cross-Border Liaison (China Coordination)
  • Work closely with China-based partner firm on pipeline, mandates, and execution
  • Participate in cross-border discussions and travel internationally as required
4. Advisor & Stakeholder Management
  • Coordinate with external advisors (legal, tax, regulatory, financial)
  • Ensure quality, alignment, and timely delivery of advisory outputs
5. Deal Structuring & Analysis
  • Support commercial discussions including term sheets and structuring options
  • Oversee due diligence processes and synthesize insights into actionable recommendations
6. Pipeline & Process Management
  • Track live mandates, prospects, and partnerships
  • Build and maintain efficient internal processes for a lean advisory setup
Candidate Profile
  • 8–12 years of experience in:
  • Investment Banking / M&A Advisory
  • Big 4 Transaction Advisory
  • Corporate Development (preferably in large organizations)
  • Proven exposure to cross-border transactions (inbound/outbound)
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, deal structuring, and transaction lifecycle
  • Excellent project/program management and multitasking ability
  • Strong communication skills (written & verbal) with experience in client-facing roles
  • Ability to work with senior stakeholders and manage multiple workstreams

Preferred:

  • Experience working with international clients or markets
  • Mandarin language skills (good to have, not mandatory)
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to build and scale operations
