Job Description

As a/an KYC Renewals Lead as a part of Client Onboarding Operations, you lead a portfolio of KYC renewal cases from intake through completion with a focus on accuracy, completeness, and on-time delivery. You provide day-to-day direction to KYC specialists and analysts, remove blockers, and serve as an escalation point for complex or urgent cases. You partner closely with sales, clients, and control partners to strengthen execution, improve cycle times, and support service quality outcomes.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead a portfolio of KYC renewal cases from intake through completion, ensuring accurate, complete, and timely delivery.
  • Prioritize, assign, and rebalance casework across the team to meet service levels and deadlines.
  • Provide day-to-day direction to KYC specialists and analysts, removing blockers and reinforcing consistent quality standards.
  • Partner with sales and clients to collect, clarify, and validate required documentation and profile information.
  • Escalate and resolve complex ownership structures, documentation gaps, and high-risk or urgent cases to keep work progressing.
  • Document issue triage, decisions, and outcomes, and route escalations through appropriate channels for timely resolution.
  • Monitor productivity and quality reporting, taking action to maintain service levels and throughput.
  • Coordinate calibration with quality control and utility teams to align on expectations, scheduling, and hand-offs.
  • Collaborate with legal, compliance, credit, and operations stakeholders to remove roadblocks and support end-to-end execution.
  • Identify recurring pain points, recommend improvements, and help standardize best practices to reduce rework and improve cycle time.
  • Support the onboarding manager in maintaining stakeholder communications, expectations, and delivery cadence.

Required qualifications, skills, and capabilities:

  • Graduate degree.
  • 15+ years of experience in treasury operations, securities operations, compliance, audit, or people management experience within corporate and institutional banking.
  • Experience leading teams delivering KYC work across client onboarding and renewals.
  • Working knowledge of anti-money laundering and KYC policies, standards, and control expectations.
  • Experience managing escalations involving complex ownership structures and documentation deficiencies.
  • Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across sales, legal, compliance, credit, and operations.
  • Experience driving change management and process re-engineering initiatives.
  • Ability to interpret new KYC policy requirements and manage operational impacts to the control environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a structured approach to issue identification, documentation, and resolution.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to set expectations with internal partners and clients.

Preferred qualifications, skills, and capabilities:

  • Master of Business Administration or other postgraduate degree.
  • Experience leading remediation efforts, regulatory responses, or internal audit commitments.
  • Experience partnering with global teams to implement policy changes and operating model updates.
  • Demonstrated industry engagement related to KYC standards and practices.
  • Experience driving operational excellence initiatives focused on efficiency and cycle-time improvement.
  • Experience managing special projects across multiple stakeholders and workstreams.
