Job Description:
Nalanda Vidyaniketan is seeking a highly skilled and passionate Kuchipudi Classical Dance Teacher to lead and strengthen our dance program. This role is open for both ECA Master and ECA Developer positions, ideal for candidates with strong expertise in Kuchipudi and a deep commitment to preserving and promoting Indian classical dance traditions.
The selected candidate will be responsible for curriculum design, student training, and choreographing high-quality performances aligned with CBSE standards while fostering artistic excellence.
Responsibilities:
Kuchipudi-Focused Curriculum Development:
- Design and implement a structured dance curriculum with a strong emphasis on Kuchipudi classical dance.
- Integrate theory, expressions (Abhinaya), rhythm (Tala), and traditional techniques.
- Ensure alignment with CBSE and school co-curricular objectives.
Instructional Excellence:
- Provide expert training in Kuchipudi, from foundational to advanced levels.
- Prepare students for stage performances, competitions, and cultural programs.
- Conduct workshops, demonstrations, and master classes.
Performance & Choreography:
- Choreograph classical dance items, ballets, and thematic presentations based on Kuchipudi traditions.
- Lead school performances, annual day events, and inter-school competitions.
- Encourage participation in prestigious cultural platforms.
Student Development & Assessment:
- Evaluate student progress through practical assessments and stage performance readiness.
- Provide individual feedback to enhance technique, expressions, and confidence.
Leadership & Collaboration:
- Mentor junior dance instructors and support arts faculty.
- Collaborate with other departments for integrated cultural presentations.
- Promote awareness of Indian cultural heritage through dance.
Experience:
- ECA Master: 4–8 years of teaching experience in classical dance (preferably Kuchipudi).
- ECA Developer: 9+ years of experience with proven leadership in dance education and choreography.
Qualifications:
- Postgraduate degree or Diploma in Kuchipudi / Classical Dance or related field.
- Certification from recognized dance institutions.
- For ECA Developer: Recognitions such as awards, stage performances, or cultural accolades in Kuchipudi.
Screening Process:
- Language proficiency assessment via Microsoft Teams.
- Evaluation of teaching methodology and leadership skills.
- Basic MS Office skills and typing test (minimum 20 WPM).
- Verification of experience in reputed institutions.
- Live Demo Session (Kuchipudi performance & teaching demonstration mandatory).
