Civil Structural Engineer

MPS Civil & Structural Engineer:

Perform civil & structural design calculations and address the civil & structural design challenges. Keep abreast of industry codes, standards,

regulations and guidelines. Meet or exceed project expectations in a timely manner within the budget limits. Co-ordination with intra / inter

disciplinary team, Project, site, vendors and provide the necessary deliverables as per Project plan & requirements.

Roles And responsibilities:

Review and understand client specifications during proposal phase. Raise clarifications and deviations not inline with Company standards.

• Review topographical survey map, soil investigation reports and extraction of required design inputs if available. Prepare Technical

Requisition of these studies during project execution. Follow up with Vendors.

• Create or review the civil and structural design basis and project specifications.

• Prepare, review and approve civil and structural MTOs during proposals and project execution.

• Support construction team in preparing technical bid analysis of construction companies.

• Prepare technical requisition and technical bid analysis for structural fabrication.

• Perform civil & structural analysis, calculations, design reports, connection design report and Check, Review drawings.

• Define materials for civil and structural works. Review of fireproofing specification. Define painting and coating schemes for structural works.

• Lead and assist junior civil & structural engineers/designers when developing engineering deliverables.

• Provide inputs to other disciplines during project execution.

• Participate in engineering meetings.

• Responsible to deliver civil & structural engineering documents as per project schedule.

• Responsible for tracking engineering hours for its discipline during project execution.

• Participate in 3D model interdisciplinary reviews and resolve the clashes in its discipline.

• Co ordinate, Review, comment and approve the outsourced civil & structural engineering design deliverables. Ensure most updated vendor documentation is being used for developing these deliverables.

• Maintain state-of-the-art knowledge in its discipline in accordance with applicable codes and standards.

• Actively support, participate in, and maintain the integrity and on-going function of the company and facility HSSE program; ensuring a safe/healthy work environment.

• Provide support to Production facilities as required by Operations on engineering/technical matters.

• Knowledge of relevant Industry Standards. (ACI, AISC, BS, EURO and other international detailing knowledge).

• Effective implementation of quality systems, procedures, management of change and revision control.

• Good knowledge of commercial engineering design programs such as STAAD, MAT 3D, Foundation 3D, SAP 2000, RAM connection & SACS

Civil and Structural Actual Cost vs Budget (including approved variation orders)

• Civil and Structural resource planning and utilization

• Civil and Structural Engineering deliverables on time delivery (OTD)

• Civil and Structural contractual non-conformance reports (NCRs)

• Civil and Structural Engineering design change notification (EDNC) entrees and MOCs

• Service Quality (SQ's)

Experience :

• Minimum 6 years of Industry experience

• Prior work experience in onshore foundation engineering, Management of Construction suppliers and Site Engineering support.

• Static & dynamic analysis for equipment foundation design.

• Brown field project design experience

• Precast concrete structure & modularized steel structure design experience.

• RCC, Steel Building, shelter, Pipe rack structure design

• UG Drain, Cable trench, Road layout & design

• Skid structure design, connection design

Expertise :

• Facilities (Onshore) Engineering and Construction with strong civil & structural design engineering background

• Static & dynamic analysis for equipment foundation design.

• Inter disciplinary hardware requirement
