Job Description

Civil Project Planning Engineer / Planning Manager

Experience: 5–10 Years

Industry: Civil / Infrastructure / Construction Projects

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed project schedules using planning tools and Gantt charts
  • Prepare Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), activity sequencing, and execution timelines for site operations
  • Track daily site progress and update project schedules based on actual execution status
  • Analyze schedule variances, identify delays/slippages, and highlight critical path activities proactively
  • Coordinate with site teams, contractors, consultants, and vendors for real-time progress inputs
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports with schedule analysis and milestone tracking
  • Support execution teams with activity prioritization, recovery plans, and target-based scheduling
  • Plan manpower, material, and equipment deployment aligned with project timelines
  • Assist in baseline schedule preparation, revised planning, and catch-up/recovery schedules
  • Ensure timely completion of project milestones through effective planning and monitoring
  • Maintain planning documentation, reports, and progress records within project management systems
  • Drive schedule adherence and support project teams in achieving committed delivery timelines
Desired Candidate Profile
  • 5–10 years of experience in Civil Project Planning for residential, commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects
  • Strong understanding of project scheduling, construction sequencing, and site execution coordination
  • Hands-on experience with Primavera P6, MS Project, Excel, and project tracking applications
  • Ability to interpret site progress, analyze delays, and prepare recovery strategies
  • Good coordination, reporting, and stakeholder communication skills
  • Experience in handling multi-disciplinary construction activities and milestone-driven projects preferred
