Job Summary:
The Construction Site Engineer will oversee and manage the technical and operational aspects of the resort construction project, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines. The role involves coordinating with contractors, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality execution of the resort development.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning & Supervision
Review project drawings, specifications, and BOQ (Bill of Quantities) to ensure compliance with design intent.
Supervise and monitor construction activities, ensuring adherence to approved plans and quality standards.
Conduct site inspections to verify work progress, material quality, and safety compliance.
2. Technical Coordination
Liaise with architects, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues.
Ensure proper execution of civil, structural, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing), and finishing works.
Prepare and review shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals.
3. Quality Control & Compliance
Implement quality control procedures to meet resort construction standards.
Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
Conduct material testing and quality checks for concrete, steel, finishes, etc.
4. Progress Monitoring & Reporting
Track project milestones and report delays or deviations to the Project Manager.
Maintain daily logs, progress reports, and documentation for site activities.
Assist in preparing weekly and monthly progress reports for stakeholders.
5. Safety & Risk Management
Enforce strict safety protocols and ensure all workers follow OSHA/company safety guidelines.
Identify potential risks and propose mitigation measures.
Conduct safety toolbox talks and site inductions for workers.
6. Coordination & Communication
Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of materials.
Attend progress meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors.
Resolve on-site conflicts and ensure smooth workflow among different teams.
Qualifications & Skills
Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Experience: 3-5 years in construction site supervision (resort/hotel projects preferred).
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, and construction software.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and MEP systems.
Soft Skills:
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Certifications: PMP, OSHA, or other relevant certifications (preferred).
Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
Basic math skills for handling payments.
Working Conditions
On-site work with occasional overtime/weekends based on project demands.
Physically demanding role involving site walks and inspections in varying weather conditions.
