Job Summary

We are looking for a Site Engineer – Civil to oversee day-to-day construction activities and ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, timelines, and budgets.

The ideal candidate should have strong site execution, coordination, supervision, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage contractors, laborers, materials, and multiple site activities.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and monitor daily construction activities in line with the project plan and schedule.

Manage subcontractors, contractors, and laborers to ensure timely execution of work.

Ensure construction work complies with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project requirements.

Conduct regular site inspections and identify and rectify defects or deviations.

Interpret construction drawings and communicate technical requirements clearly to the site workforce.

Coordinate with architects, consultants, design teams, project managers, and other stakeholders.

Coordinate civil, electrical, plumbing, and other services for smooth project execution.

Maintain daily records of work progress, manpower, materials, resources, delays, and site issues.

Prepare and submit daily/periodic progress reports to the Project Manager or Senior Engineer.

Conduct quantity measurements and assist with quantity surveying and material requirements.

Assist in preparing project estimates, budgets, and resource requirements.

Prepare and maintain project schedules using relevant software/tools.

Regularly update project schedules based on actual progress and changes.

Plan and manage manpower, equipment, and materials for optimum utilization and minimum wastage.

Verify the quantity and quality of materials received at the site.

Ensure proper storage and handling of construction materials.

Enforce site safety rules, procedures, and applicable safety standards.

Conduct regular safety briefings and ensure workers use appropriate PPE.

Provide technical guidance and resolve construction-related issues at site.

Monitor project progress and proactively identify and address potential delays.

Suggest cost-effective and practical solutions to construction challenges.

Resolve technical and operational issues in coordination with relevant teams.

Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, regulations, and environmental requirements.

Share daily project updates through WhatsApp, including progress on curing and other critical construction activities.

Support the project team in maintaining project timelines, quality, and budget objectives.

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of civil construction and site execution.

Ability to read and interpret civil drawings and specifications.

Good knowledge of construction materials, methods, and quality standards.

Strong site supervision and team coordination skills.

Knowledge of quantity estimation and material planning.

Ability to prepare and track project schedules.

Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Basic proficiency in MS Office and construction/project scheduling tools.

Good understanding of construction safety practices.

Education & Experience

Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering.

Experience: Relevant experience in civil construction/site execution preferred.
