Experience: 5-15 Years (including site execution and managerial experience)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Civil Engineering professional to lead and manage civil construction projects from planning through execution. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing project delivery, managing engineering teams and contractors, ensuring quality and safety compliance, controlling budgets, and delivering projects within stipulated timelines. The role is suitable for candidates at the Senior Engineer, Manager, or General Manager level depending on experience and capability.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning & Execution:

• Prepare comprehensive project execution plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies.
• Review and approve engineering drawings, designs, technical specifications, and construction methodologies.
• Lead end-to-end execution of civil works including excavation, foundations, RCC structures, shuttering, masonry, finishing works, and external development.
• Monitor project progress and ensure milestones are achieved within budget and timeline constraints.
• Resolve technical issues and implement corrective actions to maintain project efficiency.

2. Team Leadership & Contractor Management:

• Lead, supervise, and mentor engineers, supervisors, site staff, and project teams.
• Coordinate effectively with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Evaluate contractor performance, productivity, and compliance with contractual obligations.
• Foster a collaborative work environment and drive team performance to achieve project objectives.

3. Quality Assurance & Safety Compliance:

• Implement and monitor QA/QC systems to ensure adherence to approved specifications and industry standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and quality reviews.
• Ensure strict compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and regulations.
• Promote a strong safety culture and proactively address potential risks at project sites.

4. Budgeting & Cost Control:

• Prepare project budgets, BOQs, cost estimates, and resource plans.
• Monitor project expenditures and implement cost-control measures to optimize profitability.
• Review and approve vendor invoices, material procurement requests, and contractor bills.
• Track project variations, claims, and inventory utilization to minimize wastage and cost overruns.

5. Stakeholder Coordination & Reporting:

• Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, MEP teams, government authorities, and regulatory bodies.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, Daily Progress Reports (DPRs), site records, and MIS reports.
• Present project status updates, risk assessments, and performance reports to senior management.
• Ensure timely resolution of project challenges through proactive communication and planning.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, engineering principles, and project management practices.
• Proficiency in MS Project, Primavera, AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and ERP systems.
• Excellent leadership, team management, negotiation, and decision-making abilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of local building codes, statutory regulations, and construction standards.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
