Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced
Civil Engineer to join our team for a
Compressed Biogas (CBG) Plant in Raipur. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of hands-on experience in the construction, design, and maintenance of industrial infrastructure, specifically in the CBG or renewable energy sector.
The candidate will play a key role in overseeing the civil works related to the design, construction, and commissioning of the CBG plant, ensuring all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design & Planning:
- Lead the civil engineering design and planning for the construction and modification of the CBG plant.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant standards, codes, and regulations related to civil works and construction activities.
- Collaborate with the project management team to develop project timelines and budgets.
- Construction Supervision:
- Supervise and coordinate the civil construction activities at the CBG plant site.
- Monitor daily site operations to ensure safety protocols and construction quality standards are followed.
- Liaise with contractors, vendors, and stakeholders for timely and cost-effective completion of construction phases.
- Structural Analysis & Design:
- Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to ensure appropriate structural designs for the CBG plant.
- Analyze soil conditions and structural stability to guarantee long-term sustainability.
- Design reinforced concrete structures, foundations, roads, drainage, and other civil infrastructure as required.
- Quality Control & Safety:
- Perform quality control checks and ensure compliance with safety regulations at the plant site.
- Develop and implement corrective actions in case of design deviations or safety concerns.
- Ensure that construction activities adhere to project specifications, safety guidelines, and environmental policies.
- Maintenance & Upgrades:
- Oversee ongoing maintenance and repair works of civil infrastructure at the CBG plant.
- Plan and execute plant upgrades to improve operational efficiency, capacity, and sustainability.
- Work on continuous improvement projects to enhance the overall design and functionality of civil systems.
- Collaboration & Reporting:
- Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and environmental engineers to ensure the integration of civil works with other systems.
- Provide regular progress reports and updates to the project manager and stakeholders.
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation for all construction and maintenance activities.
- Qualifications:
- B. Tech/B.E. in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in civil engineering, with a focus on CBG plant, renewable energy projects, or industrial plant construction.
- Previous experience in the design, construction, and maintenance of biogas plants, waste-to-energy facilities, or similar infrastructure is highly preferred.
- Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, structural design, and construction management.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant software for design and modeling.
- Familiarity with environmental regulations and safety standards.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage teams, contractors, and project stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Location Requirement:
- Must be based in Raipur or willing to relocate.
