Civil Engineer is responsible for planning, designing, and supervising construction and infrastructure projects. They ensure work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and validate engineering designs, drawings, and technical specifications for civil works.
- Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and investigations to support project planning.
- Ensure all designs and execution activities comply with relevant codes, standards, local regulations, and environmental guidelines.
- Supervise and monitor construction activities to ensure timely completion within approved budgets and quality standards.
- Implement and maintain strict quality control measures in line with project specifications.
- Provide technical guidance and support to site teams.
- Plan, assign, and review work to ensure efficient utilization of resources.
- Conduct regular site meetings, track progress, and report updates to senior management.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards, conduct risk assessments, and enforce necessary safety measures at site.
- Liaise with government authorities and regulatory bodies for approvals and compliance requirements.
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and project schedules; monitor expenditures to ensure cost control.
- Review and approve construction materials and oversee procurement processes.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including reports, drawings, and records.
- Prepare and present technical reports, progress updates, and project documentation to stakeholders.
- Identify and resolve technical challenges during project execution.
- Recommend innovative and sustainable engineering solutions to improve efficiency and project outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum3 years of relevant work experiencein civil engineering projects.
- Experience inPWD/CPWD/Airport or infrastructure projectswill be an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of construction practices, codes, and standards.
- Proficiency in engineering software and tools (AutoCAD, MS Project, etc.) is preferred.
- PMP certification or equivalent project management credentials is desirable.
- Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
