Lead and manage offshore structure engineering activities for projects, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and quality standards while maintaining compliance with all project interfaces.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and detailing of fixed and float-over platforms, process platforms, and FPSO/FLNG structures.
- Analyze technical documents, including specifications, calculations, notes, and drawings, to assess scope, required studies, and potential risks.
- Plan discipline engineering activities, documentation deliverables, and project team tasks to meet schedule milestones while considering design workflows and engineering interfaces.
- Estimate resource requirements and define technical roles to achieve project milestones and targets.
- Organize team activities and develop project procedures for the execution and control of structural studies.
- Coordinate engineering activities across team members, optimizing quality, cost, and schedule criteria.
- Manage project interfaces, including coordination with other engineering disciplines, project teams, yards, construction, installation, and stakeholders.
- Control input data for team activities, review all documents issued by the team, and provide weight and COG data to the weight control engineer.
- Implement lessons learned to improve departmental systems and harmonize work methodologies.
- Utilize finite element calculation tools to verify offshore structures and ensure structural integrity.
- Review pre-FEED, conceptual designs, structural analysis (in SACS), boat impact, barge stability, jacket upending, deck lifting, bridge lifting, and transportation fatigue analyses.
- Review structural design drawings, documents, reports, and 3D models, resolving yard queries and comments.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Civil/Structural/Offshore Engineering or equivalent.
- Extensive experience in offshore platform design, detailing, and structural analysis.
- Strong knowledge of offshore plant layout, topside equipment, materials, structural, mechanical, piping, and process integration.
- Experience in project management principles, including planning, control, contract change management, interface management, and material procurement lifecycle.
- Knowledge of yard fabrication, erection, load-out, sea-transport, and offshore installation of jackets, decks, modules, and buildings.
