Role Description The Civil Engineer Intern (Chennai) will support the design and execution of civil engineering aspects of luxury interior and architectural projects. This full-time, on-site role involves assisting with structural planning, preparing technical drawings and layouts, coordinating with senior engineers and designers, and contributing to site inspections and measurements. The intern will help review project specifications, support stormwater and drainage considerations where relevant, and ensure civil works align with safety standards and local regulations. Daily responsibilities also include documentation of project progress, collaborating with contractors and vendors, and providing technical input to optimize project quality and timelines. This position is based at Arteo's project locations and office in Chennai.
Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Civil Engineering and Civil Engineering Design, with the ability to apply academic knowledge to real-world interior and structural projects.
• Interest in working within a team of Civil Engineers and design professionals, contributing to collaborative problem-solving and project coordination.
• Skills in Planning and layout preparation, including the ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
• Basic understanding of Stormwater Management and related infrastructure considerations, especially in urban and residential environments.
• Pursuing or recently completed a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar drafting software; familiarity with structural analysis tools is an added advantage.
• Attention to detail, strong analytical abilities, and commitment to safety and quality standards.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work on-site in Chennai in a fast-paced, design-focused environment.
