Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Civil Engineer role based in Siliguri. The Civil Engineer will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing residential construction projects, ensuring structural integrity, safety, and compliance with local regulations and standards. Daily tasks include preparing and reviewing engineering drawings, coordinating with architects, contractors, and site supervisors, and conducting site inspections to monitor progress and quality. The role involves managing stormwater systems and other infrastructure components, assessing project risks, and recommending technical solutions that support sustainable and cost-effective construction. The Civil Engineer will also contribute to project documentation, reporting, and continuous improvement of engineering practices.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Civil Engineering and Civil Engineering Design, with the ability to apply core engineering principles to residential projects.
- Experience working as Civil Engineers on construction sites, including planning and coordination of project activities.
- Knowledge of Planning for land development, layout optimization, and project scheduling.
- Practical experience in Stormwater Management, drainage design, and related infrastructure systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
- Proficiency in relevant design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D or equivalent) and familiarity with local building codes and standards.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills, with attention to detail and quality.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders on-site.
- Ability to work on-site full time in Siliguri and manage multiple tasks within project timelines.
