Civil Design Engineer conceptualizes, models, and develops detailed structural blueprints for infrastructure and land development projects. They collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create site plans, perform technical analyses, and ensure all designs meet safety regulations before construction begins.Core ResponsibilitiesDesign & Engineering: Create detailed drawings, grading plans, and structural models using CAD and analysis software.Technical Analysis: Perform critical calculations for hydraulics, soil stability, and structural loads.Compliance & Safety: Ensure all plans align with local building codes, industry standards, and environmental regulations.Documentation: Prepare technical reports, cost estimates, and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for procurement and bidding.Site Support: Conduct site evaluations and provide field engineering support to resolve design discrepancies during construction.Key QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred for specialized roles).Software Skills: High proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, or STAAD.Pro.Analytical Skills: Strong mathematical, problem-solving, and spatial reasoning abilities.Communication: Ability to work closely with project managers, surveyors, and external clients.
