Civil 3D Design Engineer

The roles and responsibilities essentially includes -

- Plan and perform desktop assessments for land grading and leveling activities using Autodesk Civil 3D and MS Excel software to achieve the desired site contours and slopes for designing storm water drainage systems, roads etc.
- Design land grading and earthwork plans, analyze and estimate cut and fill volumes, and optimize land development following the finished ground levels.
- Develop plans for infrastructure systems such as roads, utilities, stormwater management, and landscaping for developing large solar projects in India and overseas.
- Prepare detailed Engineering plans, drawings, and reports, adhering to Indian and American codes and standards.
- Review and analyse technical documents, such as drawings, specifications, and reports, for quality and compliance with project requirements
- Perform effective drainage designs, including slopes, ditches, swales, and retention basins, to manage water runoff and prevent erosion.
- Generate construction documents, including plan and profile sheets, details, and specifications, adhering to company standards and project requirements.
- Preparing cost estimates, Bill of materials, and material specifications
- Collaborate with team lead, project managers and other team members as per project requirements.
- Maintain the files and documentation as per company's folder management
- Ability to work independently and meet the project timelines
- Comply with the organization's health, safety and Environmental (HSE) commitments.

Requirements

Desirable Skills:

- Working knowledge of Civil 3D software for levelling, grading, drainage design, and road design.

- Proficiency in MS Excel for data analysis and calculations.

- Familiarity with Indian and American codes and standards for civil engineering projects.

- Ability to interpret and understand technical drawings, specifications, and reports.

- Experience in conducting site visits, collecting data, and performing engineering calculations.

- Knowledge of quantity take-offs, cost estimating, and material specifications.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in preparing engineering plans and reports.

- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members, clients, and contractors.

- Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and work independently or as part of a team.

Candidate Specification:

- Education: M. Tech in Civil Engineering.

- Experience: Around 2 years of experience in civil engineering, including relevant experience in levelling, grading, drainage design, and road design.

- Skills: Working knowledge of Civil 3D software and MS Excel, familiarity with Indian and American codes, and proficiency in technical calculations and data analysis.

- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to communicate effectively with team members, clients, and contractors.

- Ability to adapt to changing project requirements, work independently or as part of a team, and continuously improve technical skills.
