Job Description
The City Lead - Chandigarh, will be responsible for driving end‑to‑end delivery, governance, and growth of the Project & Program Management (PJM) function within the city. This role requires a seasoned leader with strong stakeholder management, delivery excellence, people leadership, and business development capabilities. The City Lead will act as a strategic partner to clients and internal leadership while scaling teams and ensuring consistent project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
- Own and lead the PJM function for the assigned city, aligning local delivery goals with national and organizational strategy.
- Act as the senior‑most escalation point for complex project and program issues.
- Define city‑level operating models, KPIs, and governance frameworks for project delivery.
Project & Program Delivery
- Oversee multiple large‑scale, complex programs and portfolios across domains.
- Ensure timely, cost‑effective, and high‑quality delivery of projects in line with SLAs and client expectations.
- Drive risk management, dependency planning, and resolution of critical delivery challenges.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong executive‑level relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
- Support pre‑sales, solutioning, and proposal discussions related to PJM engagements.
- Represent the organization as a trusted advisor for program and transformation initiatives.
People & Talent Management
- Build, mentor, and scale high‑performing Project and Program Manager teams.
- Drive hiring, onboarding, performance management, and succession planning for the city.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Process & Governance
- Standardize project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with organizational, contractual, and regulatory requirements.
- Drive PMO maturity, reporting rigor, and data‑driven decision‑making.
Business Growth & Operations
- Contribute to revenue growth through account expansion, resource optimization, and improved margins.
- Partner with cross‑functional teams (Sales, HR, Finance, Operations) to support business objectives.
- Track and optimize city‑level financial performance for PJM engagements.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 15+ years of experience in Project / Program / Portfolio Management, with exposure to large, enterprise‑scale initiatives.
- Proven experience leading multi‑project environments and large delivery teams.
- Strong understanding of PMO frameworks, governance models, and delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
- Demonstrated experience in client‑facing and leadership roles.
- PMP / PgMP / Prince2 / SAFe or equivalent certifications preferred.
