Job Title: City Head – POSP Channel (Insurance)
Location: Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Indore,Ahmedabad,Surat, Gandhinagar & Chennai.
Experience: 5–10 Years.
Industry: Insurance Broking / Life Insurance / General Insurance.
Role Overview
We are looking for a highly driven and experienced professional to lead and expand our POSP (Point of Sales Person) channel in a designated city. The City Head will be responsible for building a strong distribution network by on boarding POSPs and driving consistent insurance business through them.
Key Responsibilities
1. Channel Development & Expansion
- Identify, recruit, and on board new POSPs (Point of Sales Persons) in the assigned city
- Build and manage a strong network of POSPs
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
2. Business Growth & Revenue Generation
- Drive insurance sales (Life / General / Health) through POSP channel
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual business targets
- Monitor productivity of POSPs and improve lead conversions
3. Training & Activation
- Conduct regular training sessions for POSPs on products, sales pitch, and compliance
- Ensure activation and continuous engagement of onboarded POSPs
- Provide sales and service support to improve performance
4. Team & Relationship Management
- Support POSPs for achieving their business growth and targets
- Build strong and sustainable relationships with POSPs
- Act as a single point of contact for all POSP-related queries in the city
- Coordinate with internal teams (Underwriting, Operations, Claims)
5. Monitoring & Reporting
- Analyse market trends and competitor activities
- Track business performance, pipeline, and conversion metrics
- Prepare and present regular MIS reports to management
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of insurance products (Life / General / Health)
- Experience in POSP / Agency / Broker channel management
- Excellent networking and relationship-building skills

- Leadership and team management capabilities
- Good communication and presentation skills in local language
Eligibility Criteria
- Graduate
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in insurance distribution/channel sales preferred
- Prior experience in handling POSP/Agency channel desired
- Must have strong local market knowledge of the assigned city
KPIs (Performance Indicators)
- Number of POSPs on boarded and activated
- Business premium generated through POSP channel
- POSP productivity (policies per POSP)
- Retention and engagement of POSPs
- Achievement of revenue targets
