Amazon Now is seeking an operations leader to support city-level operational indexing and performance tracking. The candidate is responsible for launching dark stores and hiring a team that leads day to day operations/programs. This role involves monitoring key operational metrics across dark stores, managing data accuracy for operational dashboards, and supporting the team in maintaining visibility into network health and performance.
Key job responsibilities
Collaborate with multiple stakeholders and launch dark stores.
Track and index operational metrics including count compliance, fulfillment times, inventory accuracy, and delivery performance across city networks
Maintain data integrity for operational dashboards and reporting systems used by leadership teams
Support root cause analysis for operational defects and SLA breaches
Coordinate with store operations teams to ensure timely data updates and metric accuracy
Assist in identifying trends and patterns in operational performance to support continuous improvement initiatives
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
- Experience with Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau
- Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities, or experience in SQL Server/MySQL
- Experience working effectively across cross-functional teams and partnering well with people at all levels within an organization
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience
- Experience in vendor management
- 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience
- Experience in Logistics, Distribution or Fulfillment processes
- Experience measuring key operational metrics (e.g., order cycle time, ship estimate accuracy, on-time and complete shipment, inventory record defect rate)
- Experience with reporting and Data Visualization tools such as Quick Sight / Tableau / Power BI or other BI packages
- Experience with SQL or other data querying tools
