Citrix VDI Support Engineer (L2)

Location - Noida

Experience - 3+ Years

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Citrix VDI Support Engineer (L2) to manage, support, and optimize enterprise Citrix Virtual Desktop Infrastructure environments. The role requires strong hands-on experience with Citrix technologies, advanced troubleshooting capabilities, and close collaboration with infrastructure and security teams to ensure high availability, performance, and secure access for end users.

Key Responsibilities

Citrix VDI Administration

  • Install, configure, and maintain Citrix VDI solutions, including XenApp and XenDesktop
  • Manage Citrix components such as Delivery Controllers, StoreFront, Director, and Virtual Delivery Agents (VDAs)
  • Perform routine administration tasks, configuration changes, and platform upgrades

Monitoring & Troubleshooting

  • Monitor Citrix environments to ensure performance, stability, and availability
  • Troubleshoot complex L2-level issues related to application delivery, session performance, user access, and connectivity
  • Analyze logs, performance metrics, and system behavior to identify root causes

Security & Upgrades

  • Implement and maintain security protocols, access controls, and best practices within Citrix environments
  • Plan and execute system upgrades, patches, and enhancements with minimal business impact

Infrastructure Collaboration

  • Work closely with network, server, storage, and security teams for infrastructure planning and optimization
  • Assist in capacity planning, performance tuning, and scalability initiatives

Operational Support

  • Provide escalation support to L1 teams and ensure timely resolution of incidents
  • Create and maintain operational documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles
  • Participate in change management and maintenance activities

Required Skills & Expertise

Mandatory Technical Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with Citrix VDI technologies
  • In-depth knowledge of:
    • XenApp
    • XenDesktop
  • Experience in monitoring and troubleshooting Citrix environments
Technical & Functional Skills

  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, firewalls)
  • Experience implementing security controls and system upgrades in Citrix environments
