Key Responsibilities
- Lead resolution of complex and high-impact network incidents across routing, switching, SDWAN, Nexus data center switching, Riverbed WAN optimization, and F5 LTM load balancing environments, acting as final technical escalation point
- Perform advanced root cause analysis and recommend permanent corrective actions
- Design, review, and optimize network architecture for scalability, resiliency, performance, and security
- Lead major network upgrades, migrations, and technology deployments across Cisco, Riverbed, and F5 platforms, including design validation and implementation strategy
- Own and oversee high-impact changes including complex routing modifications, failover design adjustments, SDWAN optimization tuning changes with full lifecycle ownership (design → implementation → validation)
- Develop standards for routing, switching, segmentation, resiliency, monitoring, and configuration management
- Review and approve complex network changes and provide technical guidance during maintenance windows
- Mentor Level 1 and Level 2 engineers and support knowledge transfer across the team
- Collaborate with vendors, carriers, project teams, security teams, and business stakeholders on strategic initiatives
- Act as technical authority in collaboration with vendors, carriers, and cross-functional teams on strategic initiatives affecting network and application delivery
Required Qualifications
- Expert-level knowledge of enterprise routing and switching protocols such as BGP, EIGRP, HSRP, NAT, STP, VLANs, Etherchannel, Cisco SDWAN, and network segmentation
- Expert troubleshooting capability using logs, packet captures, routing analysis, and performance data, with ability to isolate complex multi-layer issues across internal networks and SDWAN fabric
- Proven experience designing and operating resilient enterprise network architectures, including routing design, failover strategies, and application traffic flows
- Experience with automation, standardization, lifecycle management, and operational improvement initiatives
Preferred Qualifications
- CCNP Enterprise required (or equivalent hands-on experience), CCIE or proven expert-level networking capability is a strong advantage, with deep expertise in BGP, EIGRP, HSRP, NAT, ACLs, VLANs, STP, EtherChannel, and SD-WAN
- Large-scale enterprise, data center, campus, or global WAN support experience
- Experience with SD-WAN, cloud networking, network automation, and Zero Trust network concepts
- Vendor management and technical leadership experience
