Job Description:

• Manage the installation configuration and maintenance of middleware technologies including Apache WTX MQ GoAnywhere and Weblogic
• o Current versions Apache 2
• 12 WTX 8
• 1 MQ 7
• 5 GoAnywhere 5
• 1 SFTP server PGP GnuPG 2
• 14 RHEL 6
• 10 9
• Provide L3 production support troubleshoot complex middleware issues and collaborate with application and testing teams to ensure seamless operations
• Develop and implement high availability and failover strategies for middleware infrastructure ensuring alignment with business needs and compliance with company standards
• Create manage and support application deployment templates ensuring efficient and effective deployment processes
• Install and configure systems such as supports infrastructure applications or Asset Management applications
• Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures
• Contribute to and maintain system standards
• Research and recommend innovative and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks
• Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale
• Capacity planning and performance reporting
• Perform ongoing performance tuning hardware upgrades and resource optimization as required
• Configure CPU memory and disk partitions as required
• Maintain data center environmental and monitoring equipment

Key Responsibilities:

• Knowledge and Skills
• 4 5 year experience in at least three of following
• o WebSphere MQ WTX GoAnywhere Apache PGP SSH Certificates RHEL 6
• 10 Weblogic
• Minimum years experience working with older versions of MQ and WTX see above for versions is mandatory
• Minimum of 5 years experience working with some form of SFTP server is mandatory
• Minimum of 5 years experience working with RHEL command line is mandatory shell scripting experience is preferred
• Minimum of 5 years experience managing Apache HTTPS configuration is mandatory
• Knowledge of creating and maintaining reverse proxies is required
• Experience in Enterprise Application Integration with WebSphere Transformation Extender WTX and WebSphere MQ using the older versions of the software listed above
• Expert in installation configuration administration monitoring and supporting WebSphere technologies including WebSphere MQ and WTX
• Experience working with multi environment development development env testing staging env and production env is preferred
• Advanced proficiency in Linux operating systems and middleware technologies
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in high pressure environments
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills capable of working effectively in a team oriented collaborative environment
• In depth knowledge of network protocols and infrastructure components
• Should be ready to work in 16x5 shifts and ready for on call support
• ITIL process knowledge
• Manage and Resolve incidents related to Middleware
• Perform Upgrade and patching as per Standard operating procedure
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems in timely and accurate manner to improve application performance and functionality
• Maintain proper documentation for future usage
