• Operating Systems
• Level 3 expertise in Linux OS management and administration across RHEL CentOS and SUSE Linux
• 02 Performance
• Strong expertise in Linux performance troubleshooting and kernel tuning
• 03 Storage
• Experience configuring storage on Linux and advanced knowledge of Linux LVM
• 04 High Availability
• Strong hands on experience with at least one HA solution such as Veritas Cluster Server VCS or HPE
• ServiceGuard
• 05 Patching
• Very good knowledge of RHEL patching and lifecycle activities
• 06 Boot Management
• Boot process management and troubleshooting of Linux boot issues
• 07 Automation
• Proficiency in task scheduling and scripting with the ability to automate critical and repetitive operational
• activities
• 08 Configuration Management
• Experience with Ansible is desirable
• 09 Core Services
• Strong knowledge of NFS Samba DNS NTP and related infrastructure services
• 10 Monitoring and Troubleshooting
• System resource monitoring and management log interpretation problem determination and resolution
• 11 Backup and Recovery
• Strong knowledge of backup and recovery procedures
• 12 Linux Security
• Hands on experience with Linux firewall technologies TCP Wrappers iptables and SELinux
• 13 Virtualization
• Experience in virtualized environments including basic VMware administration

Key Responsibilities:

• Networking
• Very good knowledge of Linux networking routing NIC bonding and related troubleshooting
• 15 VM Deployment
• Experience deploying Linux virtual machines on VMware ESX and Nutanix AHV
• 16 Management Consoles
• Familiarity with HPE iLO HPE OneView and virtual machine consoles
• 17 Directory Services
• Knowledge of LDAP services is an added advantage
• 18 Security Governance
• Very good knowledge of security hardening and auditing
• 19 Reporting and Risk
• Experience preparing capacity reports and risk registers
• 20 Leadership
• Strong team player with the ability to mentor team members and build the skills of junior resources
• 21 Knowledge Management
• Ability to prepare clear and reusable knowledge articles
• 22 Additional Platforms
• Knowledge of HP UX or SUSE Linux is an advantage
• 23 Service Management
• Experience with ticketing tools such as ServiceNow is desirable
